Today, approximately one billion people worldwide are learning English and by 2030, half of the world's population is expected to speak English. As a result, many people now attend an English as a second language course.

In a typical English as a second language course, students will continue to develop their reading, writing, speaking, listening, and grammar skills. Students will learn strategies to improve communication skills around daily events and worldwide issues. Course topics may include life events, job skills and preferences, landmarks and places, entertainment, non-verbal communication, laws and customs, and problems. Students will learn strategies to increase their control with more difficult grammatical structures, understand more complicated, authentic texts, and write paragraphs on a variety of topics step by step.

English as a second language course is established to increase English language fluency and individual confidence in listening, speaking and writing and it is addressed to everyone who wants to improve in this language.
